I'm a traditional oil painter based in Wagga Wagga, NSW, and I specialize in seascapes and landscapes that reflect the beauty, light, depth and atmosphere of the Australian landscape. I grew up on the coast near Sydney and the South Coast of NSW, and those early surroundings left a lasting impression that continues to inspire my work today.
My journey as an artist began around the age of 10, sketching anything I could. I was fortunate to be inspired by my grandmother, who was an accomplished artist in her own right. Although I started young, it wasn’t until later in life that I truly picked up the brush with the intention of becoming a professional artist.
One of the biggest turning points in my career was joining Andrew Tischler’s Tisch Academy. Andrew is not only a world-renowned artist, but also my mentor and teacher. His guidance transformed my approach to painting and gave me the confidence to follow my dream.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of exhibiting my work in galleries across NSW—from Sydney to the Northern Rivers, the South Coast, Tumut, and now as part of Fern Street Gallery. Recently, I received a Highly Commended award at the respected Tumut Art Show.
In my art, I aim to give the viewer more than just a scene—I want to evoke a memory, a feeling, or a sense of place. If someone can connect emotionally to my work or recall a moment from their own life, then I’ve achieved my goal. My paintings are often drawn from personal experience, transforming memories into timeless, representational works rooted in traditional realism.
