Meet Dan beresford

Welcome to my world of art! I'm Daniel Beresford, an oil painter specializing in seascape and landscape paintings that capture the beauty and realism of the natural world. My work is deeply influenced by the enchanting interplay of light and its effects on the landscapes I portray.

My journey as an artist began at a young age. At just 10 years old, I found joy in drawing everything from shoes to hands and feet. My grandmother, Heather Beresford, was a tremendous inspiration for my artwork. She nurtured my creativity and encouraged me to follow in her artistic footsteps.

Before fully embracing my passion for art, I spent 30 years as a mechanic. However, in 2020, I made a significant career shift to become a cabinet maker, specializing in handcrafted bespoke furniture. This change reaffirmed my belief that it's never too late to pursue your true calling.

Cycling has been another lifelong passion of mine. For over 30 years, I've traveled the world, racing both road and mountain bikes. Despite these adventures, my love for art never waned. Over the past two years, I have dedicated more time to developing my skills and pursuing a professional career as both an artist and a cabinet maker.

I live in the beautiful rural setting of Wagga Wagga, NSW, with my wonderful wife and our three daughters. Our peaceful surroundings provide endless inspiration for my artwork.
